Medicine Woman
When I was pregnant with my first child, I attended my first Wise-Woman gathering with my mentor Susun Weed. We passed the "talking stick" around, drinking sassafras tea from the brilliant orange leaves of the giving tree, and she posed a question about our relationship to the plant nation. I didn't know what I was going to say as this was my first time to sit in sacred circle with women. When it was my time to talk, I was surprised at what came from my lips. "Ever since I was a little girl, I have felt more comfortable talking with the plants than with the people." Wow, I wasn't even aware of this until we gathered and I was willing to look at myself a little more deeply. Since that time, I have lovingly indulged in learning as much as possible about how the flowers, leaves, roots, bark, and foods act as medicine for our bodies, hearts, minds, and souls. Through workshops, books, mentorship, individual partnering, raising a family, and serving others, I have a beautiful practice of helping others understand how to have a solid foundation to nurture, to start off as gently as possible, and to see this time in our lives as a "doorway of transformation".

As a medicine woman I provide shamanic counseling which is available in person or via skype. I received my shamanic counseling training from the Peruvian way of Shamanism, Ka Ta Se, The Way of The Heart, honoring the sacred divine feminine in the center of the circle. Through this way we can look at specific masks-wounds-beliefs-hurts and work with acknowledging the gifts they have given, and how to lovingly release them.
