Way of the Wild Lotus
Reiki is a gentle yet powerful spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. Rei means Universal Life, and Ki means Energy. It is the life force energy that flows through all living things. The practitioner is allowing this Universal Healing Energy to flow through her and it goes wherever the client needs, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, with specific light hand placements on or above the body, starting at the top of the head and working down to the toes, with a session usually lasting 60-90 minutes. There is a Native American saying to "Hollow out your bones" and that is an ongoing practice of mine so that I may further be a clearer channel for this healing energy to flow through. It is one of my greatest honors to practice this form of healing with others. After a deep need for healing (instead of curing) in my life and discovering this beautiful way, I received my attunements for this practice while pregnant with my first and second children, 29 and 28 years ago. Reiki practitioners understand that everyone has the ability to connect with their own healing energy and use it to strengthen themselves and help others. When blocked energy is released or weak energy is strengthened, imbalances physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually can become transformed and body and mind can flow into a more positive state of health. A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body/mind/spirit to facilitate an environment for deeper healing. Clients often feel sensations such as relaxation, warmth, tingling, " a feeling of everything being put back into place", and some even see beautiful colors of light and gain clarity in specific areas of their lives. Profound healing can happen.
When we meet for a session we will discuss what is going on in your life and what you are looking for specifically to heal, then you will lie fully clothed on my massage table and just rest and receive. Music can be playing or it can be quiet. Sometimes I sing sacred healing songs for you, and I always pray for you. Then when complete we will chat a little more and I will guide you on how to take your next steps for the next few days to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Way of the Wild Lotus is the name of my Reiki Healing offerings. I am honoring my dear Teacher/Healer, Joan Colmore~Way of the White Cloud, as well as honoring the symbolism of how the wild sacred lotus rises from the mud and murky waters, to blossom in all its glory in the light of the sun.
