Kundalini Yoga
When I went to my very first yoga class it was with my healer and mentor Joan, who taught Kundalini Yoga. The combination of breathwork (pranayama), movement, stretching, connecting with my higher self, meditation, and chanting (singing ancient mantras) helped me feel lighter, happier, stronger, and move stuck energy. I have been practicing yoga and sharing it with others ever since.
Kundalini Yoga is also known as the Yoga of Awareness; its focus is on self-awareness and delivering an experience of your highest consciousness. The technology of Kundalini Yoga is a science of the mind and body, to elevate the spirit, which has no boundaries, no discrimination. Therefore it is for everyone, universal and nondenominational.
I consider Kundalini Yoga as an advanced style of yoga. It's emphasis is focused more on the breath and raising our awareness and less on postures and alignments. My classes include meditation, pranayama, chanting, and live music!
May you know peace and the Truth of who you really are.
